Some of the facts about the difficulties faced within our community
We are situated in the most deprived area of Bolton.
More people living in the most deprived areas of Bolton are taking their own lives compared to the rest of the borough, it has been revealed.
An interim report on suicide rates in Bolton by Public Health has shown an increase in suicides in the most deprived fifth of population — they made up a third of suicides across all of Bolton in 2014 but accounted for 58 per cent in the first eight months alone of 2016. Just over third had a mental health diagnosis a prior to their death.
Deane, Great Lever and Daubhill wards has the highest unemployment rate of the town’s three constituencies with one in 25 residents, or 2,705 people, claiming JSA.
What help we provide to our local young adults, children and the community
our strength is the ability to provide sports activity for some of the most venerable young adults and children of Deane, Great Lever and Daub hill area.
Not only are sports fun and exciting, but they also providing camaraderie among young adults and children’s. Our frame work has always been about inclusion and community involvement. Besides being a ton of fun and a great way to stay active, participating in sports helps individuals build social and teamwork skills.
